Ocean Breakers
At Ingonish on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, I witnessed waves crashing, rain blowing and was in awe of creation's powerful beauty. The scene drew me in and spoke in ways beyond words.
While ocean breakers crash the shore in time A rhythm sounding since those early days I hear the call of ancient Poet’s rhyme That draws me in to His mysterious ways The sideways rain blows ‘cross the land and sea While ocean breakers crash the shore in time Together speaking stories into me Of nature’s ways and means by His design Each phrase rings out alive and full as I’m Awash in wonder through this misted glass While ocean breakers crash the shore in time My heart pounds one on one with ages past Both now and then recite their lines and meet Me in that place where living treasures shine Unfolding to an everlasting beat While ocean breakers crash the shore in time
